Hello everyone! In today’s post, I decided to share a few environmentally friendly products that I’ve been loving!
A few months ago, I made the switch to using bamboo hairbrushes instead of plastic ones! It’s easy to forget that every day items, like hairbrushes, could be harmful to the environment, especially since we’re so used to having plastic products all around us. I’m sure we’ve all tossed out a good amount of hairbrushes without even realizing that they could have a largely negative effect on the environment. Bamboo hairbrushes are biodegradable and much more sustainable; not only that, but they can be significantly healthier for your scalp and hair! I genuinely can’t remember where I got my brush from, but the brand is CALA and they have a wide variety of brushes on their site that can work for your hair type!
So many people have been switching to reusable or biodegradable straws, which is absolutely amazing and beneficial for the environment. I just recently ordered a few metal straws from Steel My Straws, a website that sells bamboo, paper, steel, and glass straws. I decided to go with the rose gold stainless steel straws, and I love that there are so many different options to fit your needs. There’s endless amounts of colors and styles to choose from, which is definitely hard to find in-store. They also came with brush cleaners (which are extremely useful) and I can definitely tell that these straws are long-lasting. If you’re looking into buying reusable or biodegradable straws, make sure to head to Steel My Straws and use my discount code PAULINE10 at checkout to get 10% off your order!
Toothbrushes, similar to hairbrushes, are every day products that we don’t usually realize can have a large effect on the environment. I made the switch to bamboo toothbrushes a few months ago as well, and it’s crazy that such a small, insignificant change in my life can make such a huge positive impact on the earth. The brand of my toothbrush is MABLE, and this is the second brush I’ve used from them. I highly recommend making the switch to bamboo products if you able to!
Lastly, here’s an infographic created by Steel My Straws on just how large of a positive effect reusable products can have. It’s pretty amazing:
Thank you so much for reading this post! Hopefully I could give you a few helpful tips on how to modify your lifestyle and buy products that are sustainable and safe for the environment.
