5 Travel Photos for Phone Lockscreens

I cycle through new wallpapers on my phone at least once a month – don’t they get boring after a while? I’m actually starting to run out of photos to use, so I’ve been going through the deep files of my camera roll to find something that I can edit and use! I’m currently using a picture I took while skiing in Big Bear, California because I always try to match my wallpaper with seasons. I gathered 5 of my favorite lockscreen photos that I’ve used (all taken & edited by me) so hopefully you can use them for your phone or just as inspiration!

Big Bear, California

This is what I’m currently using as my wallpaper! It’s perfect for winter and I love how the colors are not too vibrant or distracting from the content on your phone. I definitely lowered the contrast and saturation a lot when I edited this so it could blend in and almost hide behind the apps and notifications. Snow or ski slopes in general are great backgrounds for your phone during winter!

This is definitely has more of a spring/ summertime feel to it, and I love how the colors of the lake and the mountains are really neutral because they blend together so well. It’s so calming and tranquil, and I used this one as my wallpaper way too many times last year!

New York City, New York

Okay, at this point I think we all know that I’m obsessed with New York, so I think we can probably assume that this was my wallpaper for a very, very long time. You can use this one all year round and I’m obsessed with how the edits turned out. I 1000% recommend this one for city-people!

Cambria, California

Considering I woke up at 6 am to take this picture, it was my lockscreen for a pretty good amount of time last year.. I played with the editing a lot so I could find the perfect balance in the contrast and saturation; this photo also has a lot of open space which makes it nice (not as messy) as a background.

This is probably one of my favorite pictures that I’ve taken, so I had it as my lockscreen for almost all of last summer. The dark fading at the bottom fits perfectly behind the apps and I thought it was a great balance between plain and busy. If you’re big on fishing/ boats then this is perfect for you!

Feel free to download any one of these as your lockscreen or use them as inspiration for your own photos! If you do, make sure to tag me on Instagram (@giraffeviewblog) because I would love to see it!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post. If you did, make sure to like, comment, and follow my blog for posts every Monday and Friday!

  1. I think the New York one is my personal favourite! I personally like having photos of my friends and family as my background but if I did not, I would definitely be using that one! xx
