Inflight Photography to JFK

Looking out the window on my Alaskan Airlines flight to New York City a few weeks ago, I took the opportunity to take a few photos of the view from the plane. I don’t usually see cities this clearly from flights, and luckily I had the window seat so I could take a few pictures of the view!

We were very close to landing when I took these, which explains why we were so close to the ground. Obviously we were passing over somewhere near New York, but I’m still so curious as to which cities these are!

Those of you who have read my My Worst Flying Experience post know that I’ve recently started struggling with terrible nausea during flights. It always confuses me how people can get through long (or even short) flights without feeling sick, or can watch movies on the little screens without having a migraine and feeling dizzy. I mean, I’m already nauseous just from walking onto the plane! It might all just be in my head, but comment if you’re the same – I’m curious to see what your flight experiences are!

If you would like to read either of my New York travel blogs, click here for Day 1 and here for Day 2!

Thank you so much for reading this short post, I hope you enjoyed, and I’ll see you in my next post!

  1. These photographs are absolutely beautiful – New York City is so pretty lit up during the nighttime!
I get car sick and sea sick but I have never gotten sick on a plane weirdly enough. Perhaps it is because I am always on short haul flights?! Hopefully you find a solution that works for yourself. xx

    1. Thank you! I think it all might be in my head, but short flights are definitely easier. Car and sea sick are pretty terrible as well – hope it gets better in the future! 🤞🏼💕
