For today’s post I’m going to share with you
one of my worst my worst travelling experience. This post is a bit different from usual, but – for some reason – I thought it would be a good idea to embarrass myself.. so let’s just get started 😂
This summer I went on a trip to Europe with my family (& made many blog posts about it so you should totally go read those) and since I live in California, I traveled on an airplane to get to France. I always get nauseous on planes but this it was never this bad. I would still eat the airplane food – which, by the way, I like to call “space food” 😂 – and I never came close to throwing up.
That definitely changed this year! I don’t know if it was because of the lack of sleep the night before or the massive bagel I inhaled literally 5 minutes before my flight, but I felt extremely sick for 75% of the flights (there was a connection).
During the first half of the first flight, I felt totally fine and actually pretty great! Ironic, huh? During the second half is when all the trauma began.
I started to feel a little sick, and right when I woke up from a short nap I felt so nauseous I couldn’t even close my eyes without feeling like I’m spinning at 100 mph. I’m not gonna get into details because was definitely gross and I don’t want to relive it but UGH it was sooo bad 😂 Luckily this was only during the last hour or two, and not the whole flight.
But, the landing didn’t make it any better – the plane got super wobbly but thank goodness I made it off fast to get some air.
I felt better for the most part of the second flight, but it was overall a pretty bad experience; on the flight back home, I felt muuuch better and it might be because I actually ate breakfast and got sleep the night before 😂
If you got anything out of this post I hope it’s that preparing for the flight definitely makes a difference for you during the flight. Pretty inspiration, am I right?
Anyways, thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed and maybe got a laugh out of this! Don’t forget to like, comment, or follow my blog for posts every Monday and Friday! 🙂 ❤
