Hello everyone and happy Monday! I hope you got a fun and relaxing weekend to start off this week strong!
As some of you may know, I recently started doing yoga once a week and it has been genuinely so relaxing and enjoyable. I always feel great afterwards and it’s like I just woke up my body for the rest of the week. If you’re on the fence about taking a class, just go for it. Take a few classes because, I promise, you won’t regret it!
My friend who volunteers at our local animal shelter heard about an event at Lululemon where they bring in kittens from the shelter for a yoga class (I think this was an event for Lululemon’s 20th Anniversary, so they don’t have these classes all the time). Having animals around you while doing yoga is meant to be calming – and cute, of course! I’ve actually heard a lot of good things about yoga with goats, but I thought kitten yoga would be a better way to ease into this animal-yoga-thing. Haha I think I’d be a little alarmed if I had to do balancing poses with goats around me. But who knows, there’s a first for everything..!

Some of the kittens would get scared and hide behind the clothes, so we tried using toys to make them more comfortable. BUT, I don’t blame them – there were a lot of people and some of the little kids would chase them and be pretty aggressive.
Overall, it was pretty relaxing and I got to spend some quality time with cats! I’ve always been more of a dog person (not gonna lie, sorry cats), but this was still a really fun activity to do with my friends. If there’s ever a class like this in your area, don’t miss out!
