Nice, France | Travel Blog #1

Hello everyone!

I’m finally back from my trip and I’m super excited to share with you everything I experienced (and all the pictures) throughout these past two weeks. This was definitely one of my favorite vacations because all of the cities (that I was fortunate enough to visit) were so naturally beautiful!

The first city we visited was Nice, France!

We only stayed here for a couple days.

The first day we went to Eze, which is gorgeous village in Nice (and a great place to take pictures!) We took a bus to get there and it was a pretty steep ride, so learn from our mistakes and try to not get on a cramped bus.. There was a little bit of a “hike” to get to the top, but it was pretty quick and easy. The view was breathe-taking!

It’s a little hard to see but there was a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea!

From Eze we took a bus to Monte-Carlo in Monaco. This is technically a different country, but it’s so small that I didn’t even realize we weren’t in France!

Monte-Carlo was basically everything I expected it to be: beautiful, exciting, and expensive. So, after passing all of the Louis Vuitton and Givenchy stores (🙃), we finally got to the beach and the view was definitely worth it.

Notice the wall with the ocean painted on it because they were doing construction :/

We walked around a bit and had some coffee before we hopped on the bus and headed back to Nice.

There was basically always a World Cup game going on, so of course we had to join the crowds and support France, right?! It was so much fun sitting at the restaurants and watching the game because everyone was so excited and patriotic. This type of social environment is something we don’t see often in SoCal, so it was really fun to watch the games here! Sadly I don’t have any pictures, but I think you can imagine how crazy everyone went when France won!

On our last day, we spent more time walking around the city and exploring the shops a little bit. My sister and I had some work to do, so we went to a nearby Starbucks for the first half of the day and then did some shopping later!

The main shopping street is so much fun and filled with life! You just want to walk around all day and take it all in. Everyone is socializing, shopping, and eating all day and night. It was so much fun and Nice is definitely a city I would love to visit again.

Aaaaand, that’s it for this post! It was pretty Nice, right? 😉

I really hope you enjoyed my post and if you did, don’t forget to like, comment, or follow my blog! Also, follow my Pinterest for daily updates on photos and my bullet journal!

  2. I’m thinking about heading to Nice in a few weeks, but a bit hesitant as I heard that it’s quite touristy. Did you find it to be touristy? It seems like you enjoyed it in lieu of this. Did you lounge around on the beach at all or do people mostly walk the promenade? So curious to learn more! Thanks.

    1. If you go closer to the beach, you’ll notice that it’s a bit touristy, but I didn’t notice anything touristy around the Promenade. And yes, we definitely lounged around the beach! It was so relaxing but we only did that for a day. The rest of the trip we stayed mostly in the Promenade and went shopping. Hope this helps! 😄💗

  3. Aw, so much nostalgia! Your post made me feel like to immediately take a flight directed to Nice again! Even though I only stayed there for one afternoon during a school trip many years ago, I absolutely loved it. I remembered that in Nice I tried an icecream CACTUS FLAVOURED, which wasn’t nice at all (tasted like a deodorant somehow) but definitely unique 😛
Great post, thanks for sharing it with us 🙂
